Anthropic Enables AI-Powered App Creation Within Claude Chatbot

Anthropic has introduced a new beta feature for its Claude AI chatbot that allows users to build AI-powered applications directly within the app. This builds on the existing Artifacts feature, which lets users view and interact with outputs generated by Claude.

According to Anthropic, users can start creating apps by enabling the interactive capability and simply describing what they want. Claude then generates the corresponding code, allowing users to see results immediately inside the chatbot. A demonstration video from Anthropic shows how to build a chat app using this feature.

Early adopters have developed various applications such as AI-powered games, educational tools, data analysis programs, writing assistants, and complex agent workflows that coordinate multiple Claude API calls. Created apps can interact with Claude through an API.

Anthropic encourages sharing these apps by ensuring that any API usage by others counts against their subscriptions, not the creators’. This feature is accessible across Anthropic’s Free, Pro, and Max plans.
