At WWDC, Apple revealed iPadOS 26, introducing four new apps for iPad users alongside a major system redesign.
The new apps include Journal, Games, Preview, and Phone. Preview enhances the Files app experience with improved functionality. Games serves as a central hub for managing, launching, and discovering iPad games, featuring editorial content and leaderboards.
Journal debuts on the iPad, allowing users to document daily moments or special events using Apple Pencil or touch. It supports drawings, handwriting, photos, videos, audio recordings, location tagging, mood tracking, and multiple journals. Additionally, a map view organizes entries by place.
The Phone app makes its iPad debut in iPadOS 26, coinciding with iOS 26’s new call features like Hold Assist and Call Screening.
These new apps complement the extensive Liquid Glass interface redesign, along with updates to audio and video recording tools.
