On June 24, 2025, Apple experienced a significant iCloud outage affecting multiple services including Photos, Mail, iCloud Web apps, and iWork for iCloud.

Initial reports on Down Detector indicated around 900 user complaints shortly after noon Pacific Time, signaling service disruptions. Apple’s Status page confirmed outages for iCloud Web apps and iWork for iCloud, while listing issues with iCloud Mail, Account and Sign-in, storage upgrades, Find My, Photos, and Apple Business Essentials.

Attempts to access iCloud.com failed, corroborating the outage status. Despite this, some iCloud services remained operational, suggesting the problem was localized rather than widespread.

Reports gradually declined through the afternoon, dropping to about 775 then further down to under 200 by evening. Nevertheless, the Apple Status page maintained outage notices throughout the day.

Users raised concerns across social platforms such as X and Reddit, reporting syncing problems and inaccessible services. Apple did not provide immediate comments on the situation.

Additional monitoring via StatusGator revealed warnings for FaceTime and iMessage, though Apple did not officially cite issues for these services. The iCloud calendar later showed potential problems, although no full outage was declared.

By late evening, user reports remained mixed, with some services reportedly restored while others experienced delays, such as text messages not syncing across Apple devices.

The outage concluded after several hours when Apple’s Status page updated to indicate all issues and outages were resolved, including five major outages and twelve service issues.
