Apple has reportedly paused work on its foldable iPad project to concentrate on developing a foldable iPhone, according to Digitimes.

While rumors circulated about a large foldable device—sometimes described as a foldable iPad or an all-display MacBook—Apple is now delaying this product due to manufacturing challenges, rising costs of foldable display technology, and limited consumer demand for larger foldables.

The foldable device under development was expected to feature an 18.8 to 20.2-inch OLED screen with a crease-free design. Speculated launch dates ranged from 2026 to 2028, but those timelines may extend further given the current pause.

Apple’s foldable iPhone is anticipated to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models next year.
