As the season progresses, Apple released a seven-minute video on its YouTube channel advising college-bound students on how to convince their parents to choose a Mac over a PC. The video features students practicing their pitches, emphasizing benefits such as the MacBook Air’s light weight of 2.7 pounds, which supports good posture by reducing backpack weight.
The presenter highlights additional savings, noting that the MacBook Air’s $899 price point compares favorably to the cost of a PC combined with necessary extras like antivirus software, backup solutions, protective cases, and external power banks.
Beyond the video, Apple offers a downloadable “Parent Presentation” on its website. This resource provides 45 reasons why a Mac is ideal for college students and is available for free in PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Keynote formats.
