Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has received widespread acclaim, but developer Sandfall Interactive is already planning further improvements.
Since its April launch, the RPG has exceeded expectations, prompting the studio to reevaluate post-release support. Sandfall has released several significant updates and is now “actively assessing” additional enhancements.
According to the developer, they are “exploring a wide range of future improvements,” including accessibility features, new content, and various smaller updates. The focus on accessibility follows recent adjustments to the easier ‘Story Mode,’ which made it even more approachable.
These accessibility goals likely include enhanced visual aids in combat and other options to widen the game’s appeal without altering core mechanics. Meanwhile, new content remains a key area of interest. Although DLC has been hinted at before, no official announcements have been made.
