Epic Games has announced the Fortnite Death Star Sabotage live event to conclude the Star Wars-themed season. Scheduled for June 7, 2025, the event will begin at 7pm BST in the UK and 2pm ET in the US.

Players can participate across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Android, PC, and iOS (US only). Epic recommends logging in early to avoid queues as the event is expected to be highly popular. The event will appear prominently in the Discover queue from 5pm BST.

The Death Star Sabotage event features both on-foot and aerial combat, where players fight against Emperor Palpatine and the Death Star’s superlaser. Participants can pilot X-wing and Imperial TIE fighters during the event.

Epic Games shared a trailer during the Summer Game Fest on June 6, showcasing the upcoming battles and gameplay.

In preparation, players can access the Star Destroyer via rift gates spawned at the start of Zero Build and Battle Royale matches, enabling them to use the Star Destroyer’s lasers.

Parties of up to four players are supported. Fans accessing Fortnite on Android or iOS (US only) can join the event, with EU players also able to play via the Epic Games Store.

Additionally, players logging in before June 10 will receive bonus Star Wars items including the Assault on the Death Star Loading Screen and the Captain Phasma Quicksilver Baton Spear Pickaxe.

Epic has issued a warning about matchmaking errors affecting some players trying to enter the event. The company suggests switching to another game mode and then returning to Death Star Sabotage to resolve the issue while they investigate.

This live event marks the end of the Star Wars season. Based on leaks, the next Fortnite season may follow a superhero theme, expected to start on the morning of June 8, although Epic has not yet confirmed these details.
