Honor has confirmed the global launch date for its Magic V5 foldable smartphone. The device, which debuted in mainland China on July 2, 2025, will become available in Europe, Asia, and Hong Kong starting August 6, 2025.
The launch date was announced on Honor’s Hong Kong website, heralding the availability of the global version, which includes features like eSIM support. Notably, the Magic V5 is recognized as one of the thinnest foldable smartphones available, with some color variants slightly thinner than others.
The Magic V5 will be offered in four colors internationally: Dawn Gold, Reddish Brown, Ivory White, and Black. The global rollout follows Honor’s marketing activities across Malaysia, the UK, and Germany.
There is particular interest around the battery specifications for the European version, as the 6,100 mAh battery capacity currently available in China is limited to the 1 TB model. Regulatory requirements may affect battery capacity in other regions.
This launch comes ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 debut planned for July 9, 2025, underscoring intense competition in the foldable smartphone market.
