LG has unveiled new Gram AI laptops ahead of CES 2026, featuring a proprietary material the company calls Aerominum.
According to LG, Aerominum helps make the laptops “lightest in their class” by cutting weight while reinforcing the chassis. The material is also said to improve scratch resistance and deliver a metallic finish, and the systems are designed to meet military-grade durability standards.
The “AI” branding reflects support for Microsoft Copilot+ PC and LG’s own on-device AI features, enabling some processing to run locally without an internet connection.
The laptops also integrate LG Link, a tool for file sharing and screen mirroring across multiple devices, including smartphones, webOS products, TVs, monitors and projectors.
The refreshed lineup includes two models:
- LG Gram Pro 17: A 17-inch laptop with a WQXGA LCD display and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 graphics, which LG is billing as the “world’s lightest 17-inch laptop.”
- LG Gram Pro 16: A 16-inch model with an OLED display, powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors.
LG has not yet announced pricing or release dates for the new Gram AI laptops.
