Logitech MX Master 4 Revealed with New Thumb Button and Design Tweaks

Logitech’s upcoming MX Master 4 mouse has surfaced in a European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) filing, revealing notable design updates while maintaining the core look that made the MX Master 3 series popular.

The MX Master 4 introduces a third button on the side, though its exact function remains unknown. Some users hope it will be another customizable button, while others speculate it may relate to AI features.

The side profile now features a sharper cutout, exposing a larger customizable thumb button that spans the entire thumb rest area, unlike the smaller button on previous models. Additionally, the charging and battery indicator LED has been relocated beneath the main scroll wheel, just below the MagSpeed scroll mode switch.

Other subtle changes include reshaped primary click buttons and a slightly more prominent position for the side scroll wheel, consistent with leaked teaser images revealed last month.

Specifications, pricing, and release details have yet to be announced. However, with certifications and filings already public and marketing materials prepared, an official launch appears imminent.
