Apple’s latest Mac Mini M4 with 512GB storage and 16GB RAM is now available for $689, marking its lowest price to date. The base model with 256GB storage is also discounted to $469. Both deals are offered by Amazon and B&H Photo.
Former Verge staffer Chris Welch praised the Mac Mini M4 for its compact size and performance improvements over previous models. Measuring just five inches wide and two inches tall, the device delivers strong results in synthetic benchmarks like Geekbench 6 and Cinebench, and handled 4K video exports smoothly in Adobe Premiere Pro during Verge’s review.
The Mac Mini’s connectivity options are extensive, featuring three Thunderbolt 3 ports, one HDMI port, an ethernet jack at the rear, and two USB-C (USB 3) ports plus a 3.5mm headphone jack on the front. This setup supports up to three external monitors and direct connections to TVs or projectors without adapters. However, the long-standing USB-A ports have been removed.
While the upgrade costs for additional RAM and storage remain high, these current discounts make the Mac Mini M4 more accessible. Note that the Mini does not include peripherals, so users must provide their own monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
