Nintendo has released version 1.1.1 of Mario Kart World for the Switch 2, addressing various gameplay and online issues.
The patch, available since June 17, 2025, resolves problems including item usage failures, control unresponsiveness during character selection, and crashes related to race replays and online play.
Additional fixes target incorrect rate fluctuation displays in Knockout Tour and Online Play modes, communication errors when joining friends for VS Race or Battle, and collision issues near the finish line on specific tracks.
Players experiencing trouble returning to the correct position after falling while gliding in certain areas will also benefit from this update.
To continue accessing online features like Knockout Tour, users must update to version 1.1.1. The update can be installed manually via the Switch 2 Home menu or by launching the game and following the prompt.
