Nintendo has announced that Drag X Drive, a mouse-controlled sports game for the Switch 2, will release on August 14, 2025.
The announcement came through the Nintendo Today! app alongside a trailer. The game will be available exclusively on the eShop, with no physical edition planned.
Drag X Drive was first revealed during the April Direct for Switch 2 as a 3v3 multiplayer game. Players use mouse controls in both Joy-Cons to move vehicle-bound characters and shoot hoops to score points.
Early hands-on impressions praised the responsive mouse controls, noting they suit the gameplay well. However, there is some concern that the game’s limited concept might affect its long-term replay value.
