Nothing has unveiled the “Glyph Matrix” lighting feature for the upcoming Nothing Phone (3), offering a first look at its unique design ahead of launch.
The company described the new lighting system as “when light becomes language.” While details remain limited, a teaser video shows the “Glyph Matrix” positioned in the top right corner on the phone’s back, rather than the center as initially expected.
This placement contradicts a recent leaked render suggesting a different design for the Phone (3) featuring no visible lights and a triple-camera setup. The leaked design, which appeared earlier this month and was labeled as a Phone (3a) concept, now appears unlikely to represent the actual device.
Comparisons between the leak and Nothing’s teaser highlight significant differences, suggesting the leak was inaccurate. Nothing has previously been known to use misdirection regarding its product leaks.
The release of the teaser confirms that the Phone (3) will feature the “Glyph Matrix” in a noticeably compact arrangement, marking a clear design choice.
