Nothing, best known for its distinctive mid-range Android phones, is preparing to release its first over-ear headphones. Scheduled for unveiling on July 1, the UK-based company’s Headphone 1 has already appeared in leaked images online.
The photos, shared on Instagram by Nothing Fan Blog, reveal a transparent design signature to Nothing’s style, resembling a combination of a cassette tape and a smooth metal surface. The headphones are expected to come in black/gray and silver/white color options.
The leaked images suggest the headphones feature at least three buttons: two on the left earcup and one on the top. A 3.5mm audio jack cable is also visible, indicating wired connectivity. The materials used remain unclear from the photos, and while the design may not be final, it stands out in a competitive market.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei confirmed during a live SXSW event in London that the Headphone 1 will launch alongside the flagship Phone 3 on July 1. Earlier this year, Engadget’s review praised Nothing’s Phone 3a and 3a Pro for their design and performance, despite noting a limited warranty in the US.
