Poppi’s chief marketing officer, Andy Judd, has resigned, the brand confirmed to ADWEEK. The departure follows PepsiCo’s acquisition of Poppi three months ago for $1.95 million, part of PepsiCo’s push to expand its portfolio of healthier products.
Judd announced his exit in a LinkedIn post, stating, “After an extraordinary journey with Poppi, I’ve stepped away from my role as CMO. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my career to lead such a talented team, help shape this brand, drive unprecedented growth, and work alongside the most amazing leadership team as we revolutionized soda for the next generation.”
He added that he is taking time off to rest, recharge, and focus on family, expressing gratitude to colleagues and optimism about Poppi’s future with PepsiCo. He did not provide further details about his departure and referred inquiries to a Poppi spokesperson.
A Poppi representative confirmed that chief growth officer Jeff Rubenstein will now lead the marketing team while continuing to oversee international expansion. It remains unclear whether Poppi will appoint a new CMO.
Since joining Poppi in 2023, Judd managed all marketing efforts, including paid brand campaigns, media, influencer partnerships, social engagement, PR, retail, and creative initiatives. He notably led the brand’s first Super Bowl ad in 2024, which boosted Poppi’s awareness by 25%, and he oversaw the college ambassador program and the ongoing “Soda Thoughts” campaign, including a second Big Game commercial this year.
Before Poppi, Judd held roles as chief commercial officer at Laird Foods and CMO positions at brands such as Yasso, One Brands, as well as experience at Danone and Campbell’s.
