Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is reportedly selling fewer units than anticipated, leading the company to significantly cut production for this month, according to The Elec.
Typically, new flagship phones experience strong sales during their first three months on the market, making this sudden drop a concerning sign for Samsung.
This development comes after reports that Samsung might replace the Galaxy S26 Plus with an S26 Edge in 2026. However, sources suggest that if the S25 Edge underperforms, the company may retain the S26 Plus model.
The Galaxy S25 Edge features a slim 5.8mm thickness, a lightweight design, and a 6.7-inch QHD+ display. Despite these highlights, it lacks a large battery, fast wired charging, and a telephoto camera. The phone’s starting price of $1,100 also raises questions about its value.
In a recent review, Ryan Haines assigned the S25 Edge a 3 out of 5 stars, praising its design, main camera, software, and build quality but criticizing its poor thermal performance and lower sustained performance compared to the standard Galaxy S25.
