Leaked renders from well-known source Evan Blass reveal details about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, expected to launch early next month. The Flip 7 FE represents Samsung’s entry into the budget foldable smartphone market.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is rumored to feature Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset and come in Jet Black, Blue Shadow, and Coral Red. It will largely resemble the Galaxy Z Flip 6, with only minor cosmetic updates.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will resemble the Flip 6 in design and likely share much of its hardware. However, it is expected to receive longer software support than previous Flip models. The FE version will be offered in at least black and white.

Samsung initially planned to launch the Exynos 2500 chipset with the Galaxy S25 series but faced delays. Now, the chip will debut with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, serving as a test platform ahead of the rumored 2 nm Exynos 2600 for the Galaxy S26 series. The Flip 7 FE is expected to use an older Exynos processor as Samsung continues to reduce reliance on Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.

Though Samsung’s foldables have faced criticism for lagging behind competitors, this year shows promising developments. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 features notable improvements over the Fold 6 and is nearly as slim as the upcoming Oppo Find N5 and Honor Magic V5, which aims to be the world’s thinnest foldable. Despite a modest 4,400 mAh battery, Samsung’s strong One UI and extended software support enhance the appeal.

Overall, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, and Fold 7 appear set to compete strongly in the foldable market this year.
