At the global Conversations conference in Miami, WhatsApp announced new features aimed at enhancing its platform for business use.

Centralized Marketing Across Platforms

Businesses can now create and manage marketing campaigns across WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram through Ads Manager. This unified system allows companies of all sizes to use consistent creative assets, setup processes, and budgets in one place. After onboarding, businesses can upload subscriber lists and either manually select WhatsApp as an additional message placement or use Advantage+, an AI tool that optimizes budgets to maximize performance. Soon, ads will also be available within WhatsApp Status via Ads Manager.

Expanded AI Support

To assist businesses in managing increased customer interactions, WhatsApp is developing a Business AI capable of offering personalized product recommendations, facilitating sales on business websites, and following up with customers through WhatsApp chats. This AI support will soon be extended to more businesses in Mexico.

New Calling and Voice Features

Larger businesses using the WhatsApp Business Platform will soon have options for live voice calls initiated by customers or businesses. Additionally, functionality for sending and receiving voice messages and making video calls, useful for services like telehealth, will be introduced. These enhancements aim to broaden communication methods and set the stage for future AI-driven voice support. Businesses interested in enabling calling can collaborate with WhatsApp’s official partners.

These updates are designed to help businesses improve customer engagement and operational efficiency.
