At its Human x Car x Home event in Beijing, Xiaomi introduced AI-powered smart glasses alongside a new foldable phone, a next-generation smartwatch, and smart home devices.

The new smart glasses feature a 12MP ultra-wide camera that enables hands-free photo capture and first-person video recording through voice commands. They support real-time object recognition and text translation, powered by Xiaomi’s in-house Super XiaoAI assistant.

One notable feature is payment via Alipay by simply glancing at QR codes, confirmed through voice authentication. Battery life reaches up to 8.6 hours on a 263mAh cell with USB-C charging, significantly surpassing the 4-hour limit of Ray-Ban Meta glasses. The device weighs just 40 grams and functions as open-ear stereo headphones with five built-in microphones.

Powered by a Qualcomm AR1 chip and a Hengxuan 2700 co-processor, the glasses are designed with Asian facial features in mind, featuring temple arms that pivot outward and tilt forward for a tailored fit. The IP54 rating protects against sweat and splashes.

Optional electrochromic lenses provide automatic tinting that adjusts within 0.2 seconds when the temple is double-tapped. Three frame colors are available: Classic Black, Parrot Green, and Translucent Tortoiseshell Brown.

Pricing starts at CNY 1,999 (about $280) for the standard models, with tinted electrochromic versions ranging from CNY 2,699 ($375) to CNY 2,999 ($420). Though largely targeted at the Asian market, these features position Xiaomi’s glasses as strong competitors in the AR eyewear space.
