Ripple’s XRP has climbed back to become the fourth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, overtaking Binance-linked BNB after a sharp price rise over the past 24 hours.
When excluding stablecoins, XRP now ranks just behind Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin remains the largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of about $1.79 trillion, followed by Ethereum at roughly $373 billion.
The latest move underscores XRP’s renewed momentum in a market still dominated by the two largest assets. It also comes in the same week that U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Commissioner Caroline Crenshaw, a long-time critic of crypto assets, is set to depart the regulator.
