At the global Conversations conference in Miami, WhatsApp announced new features to enhance its business platform.
Unified Marketing Management
Businesses can now manage marketing campaigns across WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram directly within Ads Manager. This centralized system lets companies of all sizes use shared creative assets, setup processes, and budgets. After onboarding, businesses can upload subscriber lists and choose marketing messages as an additional placement or rely on Advantage+, WhatsApp’s AI system that optimizes budgets across platforms. Soon, ads on WhatsApp Status will also be manageable via Ads Manager.
Enhanced AI Assistance
To support growing customer interactions, WhatsApp is developing AI-powered Business AIs that provide personalized product recommendations, facilitate sales on business websites, and engage customers with follow-up chats. This feature will soon expand to more businesses in Mexico.
New Calling and Voice Options
Starting in the coming weeks, larger businesses using WhatsApp Business Platform will be able to accept customer calls or initiate calls when requested. Additionally, voice message functionality and video calls will be introduced, supporting services like telehealth appointments. These updates aim to offer more flexible communication and lay the foundation for future AI-driven voice support. Businesses interested in these calling features can collaborate with WhatsApp partners.
WhatsApp expects these updates to help businesses improve customer relationships and operational efficiency.
